Careers
People stay here. That is the whole pitch.
Eric has run maintenance for twelve years. Ashley has run the kitchen for nine. Carla has been directing activities for over a decade. In an industry with brutal turnover, that is the number worth looking at, and it is the reason residents like Ed say the staff is his first reason for being here.
The work
Where people usually fit
Openings change. Rather than list roles that may already be filled, here are the areas we hire into. Ask about a specific one and you will get today's answer.
Care and nursing
Supporting residents with medications, daily living and the hundred small things that make a day go well. Our Residential Care level is state licensed and staffed around the clock.
Kitchen and dining
Three meals a day, cooked properly, for people who will tell you honestly what they thought. Ashley runs the department and sets the standard.
Housekeeping and maintenance
Keeping seven and a half acres and every apartment in the condition residents deserve. Eric runs a preventative program, so it is fixing things before they break rather than after.
Activities
Building a calendar varied enough that everyone finds something dignified they genuinely want to do. Bingo, trivia, crafts, outings, live music.
Reception and administration
Often the first voice a worried family hears. It matters more than the job title suggests.
Not seeing your role?
Tell us what you do. Small communities hire the person more often than the vacancy.
Why people stay
Small enough that the work is visible
This is one community of about a hundred residents on one campus, not a regional portfolio. You will know the names of the people you look after, and they will know yours. That is the trade: less anonymity, more meaning.
- Department heads who have been here nine to twenty years and know how to train
- Residents who notice and say so
- Full-time and part-time, with shifts across all three
- Equal Opportunity Employer
Applying
Two minutes now, paperwork later
Employment applications need background checks, references and employment history, and all of that is coming. None of it needs to happen before we know whether there is a job you want. Start here, on whatever device you are holding.
Questions before you apply
Ask them. You are allowed to want to know about the shifts and the pay before you fill in a form.
